Copake Country Club Situated on 160 acres (0.65 km2) overlooking Copake Lake with breathtaking views of the Berkshires and Catskills from every hole, Copake Country Club has offered an exceptional course to generations of golfers since 1921. Touted by the New York Post as one of the “10 hidden gems two hours from New York”, Copake Country Club is overseen by proud owner, Jon Urban. The entire property has recently completed a loving transformation, realizing its potential for becoming a full-service premier golf destination and is open to the public.
The original design of Copake Country Club dates back to the legendary Golden Age Architect, Devereux Emmet, a founding member of the famous National Golf Links on Long Island as well as a prolific course designer. Not far from The National, Emmet designed his most noteworthy course, Garden City Golf Club. The course at Copake Country Club is now being carefully evaluated and restored to bring back the time tested strategy and unique design features employed by one of golf’s renowned designers. The clubhouse also boasts a new look with the addition of a remodeled pro-shop offering choice golf equipment, clothing, Internet service, and lounge.
Presided over by accomplished CIA Chef Glenn Strickling and a destination for over 8 years, The Greens restaurant also has a fresh appearance, with views of the fairways incorporated into its contemporary design whether you sit inside or enjoy the outdoor dining room or patio. The restaurant offers a Club menu as well as fine dining for lunch and dinner daily. In addition, the Sunday brunch has proved extremely popular. The Greens hosts live, local musicians every Friday night and Sunday brunch.
